Restoration of Land Acquired for Resettlement and the Fast-Track Land Reform Programme in Zimbabwe

This paper examines the effect of land reform program on production main agricultural crops, which are maize and soyabean, in a bid to deduce implications possible restoration acquired for resettlement Zimbabwe. The interest this is response new legislation by Government Zimbabwe under former farm holders may apply title piece that was compulsorily from them during 2000 Fast-Track Land Reform Programme (FTLRP). Contrary cross-sectional studies done before, study applied Ordinary Least Squares estimation technique time series data covering period 1980–2019. results show after has lower soyabean output per hectare compared before reform. findings imply FTLRP disrupted production, never been restored prior levels; points government’s sustain particularly soyabean.
